Description
A small-batch dual extract of wild-harvested chaga (Inonotus obliquus) from Finnish birch forests, made in Dorset by Spore & Bloom.
About chaga
Chaga doesn’t look like a typical mushroom. It grows on birch trees as a hard, black, cracked mass with a rusty orange-brown interior, and it’s this growth, rather than a cap and stem, that is harvested. For centuries it has been brewed as a tea in Finland, Russia and across northern Europe, where birch forests are common.
How it’s made
Our chaga is wild-harvested from birch in Finland. We extract it twice: in hot water with the help of ultrasound, and separately in ethanol. Each solvent draws out different naturally occurring constituents, and the two extracts are combined into one tincture at a 1:3 ratio.
How to take it
Shake well. Take 1–2ml daily, directly or added to water, juice or tea. Do not exceed 3ml per day. A 50ml bottle lasts about 25 days at the suggested amount.
Ingredients
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) extract, water, plant-derived ethanol (30% alcohol).
