About cordyceps

Cordyceps militaris is a small, bright orange club-shaped fungus. In the wild it grows from insect pupae, but the cordyceps used in quality products today is cultivated, which allows clean, consistent fruiting bodies to be grown without harvesting from the wild. It is a popular mushroom among people with active lifestyles, and it is one of the most studied members of its genus.

How it’s made

We use whole Cordyceps militaris fruiting bodies grown in the UK. Each batch is extracted twice: in hot water with the help of ultrasound, and separately in ethanol. Each solvent draws out different naturally occurring constituents, and the two extracts are combined into one tincture at a 1:3 ratio.

How to take it

Shake well. Take 1–2ml daily, directly or added to water, juice or tea. Do not exceed 3ml per day. A 50ml bottle lasts about 25 days at the suggested amount.
